You’re a Heart Mom!

Hello. Last night I joined a movie club near my house. We watched a Japanese film with a bunch of strangers who I hope will become friends. We started late because one of the gals had forgotten and was on her way over. My new (late) friend seemed oddly familiar to me as we were introduced. But I’m bad with names and faces, so I dismissed it while we chatted. Then she turned around and I saw a design on her sweatshirt that I recognized from my local support group.

“You’re a Heart Mom!” I blurted out. She turned around as I said, “Me, too.” Understanding flashed between us as our hearts reached out towards each other. And I knew her….just as I know you. I’ve been there and I understand. You are safe here. I see you.

This week I hope to post a simple heart with VSD and one with ASD.
